Call for Session Proposals
The 2018 NSLA/LBANS Conference will take place from September 28 to September 30, 2018 at the Rodd Grand Hotel, in Yarmouth.
The theme of this year’s conference is Be Bold. It’s a call for Nova Scotia’s library workers and supporters to embrace new opportunities, learn new skills, look at things from a fresh perspective, and try new things both as individuals and as organizations.
The members of the Program Committee have been hard at work developing a slate of sessions that will engage and educate, and we need your input. What kinds of sessions do you want to see at the conference?
If you have a suggestion for a conference session, we want to hear from you. Here’s what you need to know.
- Presentations should relate to the conference theme.
- Presentations can be solo presentations or panels. (Got an idea for a different format? We’ll consider that, too.)
- Presentations should be one (1) hour in length (including time for questions) (If more time is required please include the information in your proposal)
NOTE: Suggestions for preconference ― full-day or half-day sessions ― are also welcome.
Please send your submissions ― and questions ― to conference@nsla.ns.ca, by May 1, 2018 and include:
- a brief description of the topic/proposed session (incl. how it connects with the conference theme)
- technical requirements
- contact information
- associated costs, if any
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
2018 NSLA/LBANS Conference Planning Committee
