NSLA Annual Conference - Sense of Place - September 23-25, 2016

NSLA Annual Conference 2016

Conference Convenor, Kristel Fleuren-Hunter, and the members of the Local & Conference Organizing Committee are excited to welcome you to their community & the beautiful Pictou Lodge & Beach Resort for the 2016 NSLA/LBANS Annual Conference (September 23-25, 2016).

This year’s theme, A Sense of Place … You, Your Community, Your Work, highlights the important place that libraries occupy in our communities and as our places of work.

The 2016 NSLA/LBANS Conference website is the place to go for information on pre-conference and conference sessions, registration*, and local accommodations**.

Conference features:

  • Keynote speaker, Elena Madison, with the Project for Public Spaces (Placemaking),
  • One Book NS author reading,
  • an evening of Spirits,
  • preconference and conference sessions on recycled/upcycling books to BookRage podcasts, Community Block Parties @library, Art Spaces, and
  • the Annual Awards Banquet

Please join us as we celebrate our colleagues’ outstanding contributions and dedication to the library community in Nova Scotia, and the communities we serve.

Special thanks to our outstanding conference sponsors.

*Note, Early Bird conference registration rates are available until 15 August 2016.

** Accommodations are not included in the Conference Registration, although most meals are included (with an optional dinner available on Friday night).
