Lou Duggan named recipient of Dalhousie SIM Associated Alumni-Outstanding Alumni Award for 2014

NSLA would like to extend congratulations to Lou Duggan on being named the recipient of the Dalhousie SIM Associated Alumni-Outstanding Alumni Award for 2014!

Please see the note from Dalhouse SIM AA Chair, Jiselle Alleyne:

Dear Alumni,
It is with immense pleasure that I am writing this letter. This is to congratulate our colleague Lou Duggan, on being selected as the recipient of the Dalhousie SIM Associated Alumni-Outstanding Associated Alumni Award 2014. Lou’s selection for this award is in testament of his remarkable record of professional responsibility, scholarship and publishing, innovation and leadership and for his relentless and selfless service to our professional community.

In his nomination, key characteristics were noted, ‘Lou is an active and prolific scholar, is a terrific role model to those new to the profession, and many SIM students have benefited from his role as mentor and advisor…’ These attributes exemplify the type of person deserving of this award and so the decision therefore became an easy one; as we firmly believe that you are worthy of being named the recipient of the SIM Associated Alumni Award for 2014.

Lou will receive his award at the 2015 Norman Horrocks Public Lecture Series, being held at 4:30pm tomorrow, January 21st at Paul O’Regan Hall, Halifax Central Library.
For more information on the lecture visit the SIMCAST website.
