2011 NSLA/LBANS Conference

The 2011 NSLA/LBANS conference is being hosted by the Cape Breton Regional Library and will be held in Sydney, NS at the Delta on September 23-25. Please mark your calendars and plan to join your colleagues and friends in Sydney to celebrate libraries, literacy and life-long learning.

The theme of NSLA/LBANS 2011 Strong Roots, New Growth celebrates libraries as traditional, as well as ever-changing, vibrant and new. As the conference is being held in Sydney, we feel that the theme is a good fit with Cape Breton’s cultural heritage and ties in nicely with the United Nations General Assembly declaring 2011 as the International Year of Forests.

Attending the conference will provide you with opportunities for professional development, sharing information and to develop and rekindle friendships with others in the field.

Theresa MacDonald (Cape Breton Regional Library) is the 2011 Conference Convener. She and the Conference Committee welcome your suggestions for sessions and can be reached at tmacdona@nssc.library.ns.ca or (902-562-3279).
